Accessibility statement
Draft: not yet reviewed by a lawyer. This page must be reviewed and finalized before public launch (see
docs/LEGAL.md).
Crayon CS is built for people who find dense material hard, including people with ADHD, dyslexia and other learning differences. Accessibility is a core feature, not an afterthought.
Our goal
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, level AA.
What we offer
- Reading settings (the Aa button): two highly legible fonts, larger text, roomier spacing, dark mode, calm animations, and quick mode.
- Every interactive widget can be used with a keyboard and has text labels for screen readers.
- Animations respect your system’s “reduce motion” setting.
- No time limits on learning activities.
Known gaps
The code editor and some interactive diagrams are still being tested with screen readers. If something doesn’t work for you, please tell us.
